Mayo Quanchi News
06/28 & 29/08 - We travelled to Boston, MA to compete in the USJA Junior Nationals. Mayo Quanchi returned with 12 Gold medals, 12 Silver medals and 10 Bronze medals. Rhode Island placed 2nd in the state rankings for the event. It was a great tournament which we gained alot of experience from and were able to get geared up for Junior Olympics and US Open. Good job everyone.

Olympic Trails
06/14/08 - Malinda Bridges and Katelyn Bouyssou travelled to Las Vegas, NV to compete in the US Olympic Trails. They didn't win the trails but it was good experience for them. Both of them did remarkably well to even get to the trails especially both being such a young age. Good job girls, keep training hard and bigger and better things will be right around the corner.
Am-Can Judo International
05/25 & 26/08 - The 36th Annual Am-Can International was held in Buffalo, NY. Mayo Quanchi won the Junior and Senior Cups, we also won the Challenge Cup. You can view the 2008 AM-CAN tournament report HERE. Mayo Quanchi finished the event with 114 team points, the team in second finished with 34 team points. Morris Cup 08
05/06/08 - "The Mayo Quanchi Judo Club in Providence, R.I. won the overall team title for the fourth time while the Jason Morris Judo Center took second place and Pedro’s Judo Center in Wakefield, Mass. earned third." - usjudo.org
Serge Bouyssou was also awarded the Most Outstanding Junior Male award. Serge had 22 fight that day and won them all by Ippon. Full Mayo Quanchi results can be found on the results page.
